Cheat Meal Summary

Red Coat Tavern - The BEST hamburger in Michigan by far! It was a half pound monster, extremely lean piedmontese beef (which is only 2% fat or less), guacamole, grilled onions, and provalone cheese....mmmmmm. Then proceeded to end it off with some Oberweis Ice Cream, chocolate marshmallow to be exact.

Using FS, I was able to calculate it to the point where even with this meal I was not crazily over my RDI, and the ratio for the day was 39carb/38fat/23protein - so not OVERLY much but enough to give me the spike I needed! Since I did have my cheat early this week, I will have to be considerate about the weekend. We shall see...I'll fill you in with a weekend "grade" on eating. I hope I can grade it with an honest "A". =P

This journal made me literally LOL b/c I love how you still calculated everything you ate with no fear (or was there?). I would have been really apprehensive about logging that monster in! Still sounds quite delicious though! Have a great Friday!

@Dsy - You know what I do enjoy about FS, is being able to input the food ahead of when I eat it. So I literally was adding a hamburger here, an ice cream there just to see where i'd end up, lol. That is how I justify it and make my decisions. It just helps with "planning" cheat meals. It's one thing when you eat something out of complete spontaneity. I know this sounds completely cheesy but - "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Agreed! FS is a great tool for that. When I stopped using it around Dec-Jan I noticed a big difference in my body fat. Just because I was working out didn't mean squat b/c I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was consuming. I'm sure back then most of my days were like cheat days - lol.

I like the way you use the food diary. I tend to do the same thing, plan my meals ahead, it gives me a good idea of where i stand, and then I can always adjust if something happens. Hope you have a good day!

@Ida - It must be the engineer in me! I have a tendency to be meticulous when my interest is in it or it's a unique problem to solve. @jessy - Yes, you never know what comes up but if something does it's always good to get a "future" outlook to it so you're prepared. Have a good weekend you two!

So you're a Michigander too eh? And you share my name? Any other coincidences I should know about? hehe

@Nimm - haha yea, I know right? You're up north though right? Well we're in the same body fat range too and we both use Omrons, lol. So definitely odd, small world dude.

Yep, up by Traverse City. And I thought Ann Arbor had a lot of snow and long winters. Then I moved up here. :-\
