Went to a Japanese hibachi restaurant last night with my daughter. She had never tried this before. It was a lot of fun. Basically meat and veggies and I skipped the rice. I did eat a lot of the ginger sauce (dipped meat and veggies in it) and the dressing on the salad was ginger, so my guess is I might have had quite a bit of sugar, but it basically felt like a healthy meal. I meant to check my blood sugar 2 hours after it, but forgot...would have like to see the impact. I also had 3 teaspoons of the ice cream and then gave the rest to my daughter. There was also miso soup...don't know the impact of that...I will look it up!
