So excited for my NYC adventure that I was up at 4:30! So, I worked out, bought groceries for my boys (DH & DS) who will be on their own, showered & have time to play here before I head to the train. Forecast looks good today, not so much tomorrow & good again on Sat (when we'd hoped to do a walking tour - yeah!). I'll meet my girlfriends at the hotel, we have a dinner reservation for sushi, and then on to see Les Mis. Although I've seen it before, it is my all-time favorite & in a new production. I'm also excited to see it after having seen the movie, because I now better understand the full story line.

I wish you all a happy & healthy weekend, as I'm not sure if/how much I'll be on here until Sunday. My girlfriends leave early Sun morning for their flight, so I'll have another opportunity to eat & live healthfully & mindfully on my Transition Sunday… again transitioning back from being away & to the weekday. I am more determined than ever to get that right when the time comes, but for now, I'm ready to enjoy this adventure, my friends, and all that the Big Apple has to offer, one day or meal or moment or bite or thought or emotion at a time. I'm so close & comfortable with these friends that taking a break when needed won't be an issue. Since the 2 young ones are both expecting, I may not be the only one needing some down time.

And as I'll do each day along the way, I'll begin in prayer --

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

And, for this one day, and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion, I'll pray, breathe, log (when I can), journal & express my way. I'm so very grateful for each of supportive you, my family & IRL friends, and this wonderful weekend I have ahead of me with the health & wealth to enjoy this life I love! xoxox
