Had a very good swim workout yesterday. I usually don't calculate what kind of distance I do but decided to give it a try yesterday. I ended up with 2300 meters. It's been challenging putting some of the tips on technique from my Triathlon swim class into practice but it's getting a little easier each time I go.

I feel motivated again today but not for swimming. I think I'll go spend some time on the elliptical trainer. Three strait days of rain will be ending after today so tomorrow's looking like a good day for a bike ride.

I've been reviewing my diet and weight history and it seems that my slowdown in weight loss coincides fairly closely with when I stopped bicycling for the winter. I haven't been tracking calories in as well as I should have been but I do track all of my exercise and I can see that calories burned dropped significantly after I stopped cycling. Time to get those numbers back up again and see what kind of results I can get.

So I found this Sobe Lifewater stuff that says it has 0 calories. It tastes pretty good and has a bunch of vitamins. The label says it has 0 calories, but it also says it has 15g of carbs per bottle. Shouldn't that mean that it has 60 calories?

Hmmmm, yes, does not compute on the label of lifewater. I am familiar with the stuff but don't drink it as I tend to try to avoid all of the sugar substitutes as much as possible. I have been drinking liters of the zero sugar, zero salt, zero anything but carbination and some fruit essences Cascade Ice waters. Sparkling water is what I believe the term is.... I would be tempted to get online and ask Sobe what's up with the discrepancies in their lables....

Apparently it has to do with "rounding" according to their website and the number of servings per container and the size of the container..... Calories or nutrients shown for larger containers of some diet beverages differ from those on smaller packages due to FDA rounding rules. Be assured, our beverages are the same regardless of package size. Diet beverages contain only minimal calories and trace amounts of carbohydrates or sugars and are recognized by the FDA and the American Diabetes Association as appropriate for people with diabetes.

Ah, sparkling water. I didn't find that brand here but we have other brands. I've drank it in the past and have liked it. I'll go with that. Sounds like Sobe is playing with the numbers. I'll skip that stuff.
