Diario de jeannieselby, 18 may. 22

Holding steady for the 4th(?) day in a row. Glad to see it though, since I had a fried dinner, and a lemon loaf after 10pm last night.

Fell asleep during Colbert, so loaded dishwasher when I woke up, and finally in bed 3:20 am. Didn't want to get up at 6:30 alarm, but after the second snooze, I knew I had to or I wouldn't be ready for the bus. Managed to rub on some White Flower ointment, dress, feed the kitties, and put fabric softener in the machine before running out the door. Had to bring my pills to work again since no time to take them before I left. YAY, I got here with minutes to spare, despite the bus picking up two passengers after me.

Hip and leg pain had me up every hour after I finally went to bed, so another day where I'm tired and hurting. When Paratransit still hadn't assigned me a ride at 6 pm last night, bil to the rescue, so I was home shortly after 7 pm. Tonight I won't be that lucky, so fingers crossed that I don't get reassigned again. When I'm assigned to one of the buses, I know at least someone is going to come and get me.

In the evenings, I don't care as much when a bus is running late, or if I'm stuck riding all over the valley. At least I'm in a vehicle and know that eventually I'll get home. This BS of waiting to see if, or when AAA Cab assigns me a vehicle is so emotionally draining. You know were I a paying customer for the $45+ ride, they'd have a cab for me. I feel so bad when being told the horror stories from some of the other, even more disabled, passengers. How they were stuck waiting for pick up until 11 pm or later, or that no one showed up at all. What's even more frustrating is having Valley Metro tell you there's nothing they can do as they are short of drivers, and unless there's a bus going to be in the area for my pick up window, I will be assigned to AAA. I really need Aqua Therapy or something else to work for me soon, so I can drive myself since it's obvious that I'm stuck here for the time being.
