Heading back down slowly. Dealing with a fatter belly from the camping indulgences. TOM is moving into town this week too so I am fighting those cravings too. Workouts have continued to be good and I know I need to keep setting goals for myself or I may get lax and unfocused. Hubby joined me for a hard bike ride the other night up and down all kinds of hills and then for a swim at the gym the next night. He was surprised how much swimming takes your breath away. The breathing is always the hardest part but endurance builds up as you keep doing it.

I surprised him with a overnight trip to Chicago this coming weekend to celebrate our 14 year anniversary which was 7/22. I got a deal on priceline so we will stay on the magnificent mile for only $99 total. It is not a fancy hotel, but should be fine as we won't be in it much. It is close walking distance to Navy Pier and the lakeshore. He had also given us a couples massage gift certificate at Christmas, so we are going to redeem that first, then head to the City, walk somewhere for dinner, visit Navy Pier, etc and the next morning we will take a long run along the lakeshore! I have been wanting to run along the lakeshore forever. It is beautiful and spirit lifting! Sounds so fun and my kids are so excited to spend the night with my friend and her kids.

I will workout sometime today- probably a run or bike or hit the gym. Planning to run 5 miles or a little more on Sat AM and then on Sunday again in Chicago. As Evelyn says, TTFN!
