It was a year ago today that the saga of the menacing renter ended when the SWAT team hauled his ass to jail. He was sentenced to 42 years. Only issue is my sister works at the prison he's been sent to. The DOC is looking into moving him.

We went to dinner to celebrate our youngest son's birthday. At dinner, our eldest son said the renter on the east side called the sheriff over his girlfriend's dog. Said the puppy is scary to his kids. The sheriff said there is a city ordinance about dogs at large. We are no where near the city limits and the dog has over 15 acres as his yard, but has never wandered. When our son returned home, the back door was wide open and the puppy gone. I don't know what breed the puppy is, but I know he's an unusual breed and our son's girlfriend paid more money than I ever would for this puppy. They drove the fields looking for the puppy, but it's difficult to cover our land. I'm thinking October may not be our month. Thankfully there's only 2 days left in the month. I hope that puppy is okay. He has a sweet personality and the grandkids will be heartbroken. They still miss their St Bernard puppy that died.
