Every day I feel a little better. Every day I feel more like me.

Yesterday I dyed my hair dark brown. I was dark brown for over 15 years and then decided one day to go back to my natural blonde. I was blonde for about two years and I hated it. My skin color and hair color are so similar I looked washed out! I tried a dark red -- beautiful but not for me. Back to dark brown. It feels like home.

I think this all stems from feeling like I've lost myself over the last few years. I got so consumed with my kids, my job, staying afloat, that I forgot that I was my own person with my own hobbies and things I enjoy.

I've started reading again. I've started doing skincare. I bought myself books and took my car to the carwash. No one ever made me stop doing these things. No one but me!

I haven't dyed my hair since 2013. 🤣 It's because I want to do the crazy colors but I can't do that as a teacher.

It’s so great that you’re back to doing things that you enjoy and make you feel good about yourself. It’s easy to get lost sometimes, especially when people are relying on you, whether it’s kids, or elderly parents, or a demanding spouse or job. Keep doing things that are important to you!
