Hang in there - you can do this, it's just going to take some patience and some trial and error. Are you eating because you're hungry? If so, have a good honest look at what you're eating and where your nutrients are coming from and maybe try to change things up a bit. I'm diabetic and very insulin resistant (PCOS) so if I eat the standard 'low calorie/low fat/high carb diet' it actually triggers weight gain and out of control hunger. For me it's not so much about the calories as it is about the carbs. I achieve my best results in both weight loss and glucose control with a low carb/high fat ketogenic diet.
Weight loss is often packaged as a 'one size fits all' proposition and, in my experience, it's really not.
