I am home from work and after a lot of thinking I have decides "If it's in your way move it!" So because I know I have no control over the amount of bacon I eat I am going to stop buying it. My descision is also based on the fact that I want nitrates and nitrites out of my body! Yes there is bacon that is cured naturally but until I can gain controll of my willpower over it I will leave it out of my house till fourther notice.
Now what to substitute for breakfast. Hmmm? I am always up for a challenge!
Again today someone at work told me whatever I am eating is making my face so healthy and glowing. I know it is because only whole foods go in my body and LOTS OF WATER! As nature intended:)

It's kind of a pain, but have you considered making your own sausage? That might be a good sub for bacon. I need to get off the bacon as well, but it's just so easy when so many other things are such a pain to make and especially clean up.

Good for you on chasing away what makes you feel out of control with your healthy choices. Have you tried fresh pork sausage instead of the bacon? Thanks for the suggestion of the chia seeds, they are helping alot. Have a great weekend my friend. Love and Hugs{{{}}}

I was thinking about checking into sausage homemade at the heathstore. They have organic farm produce and meats. But I am sure it is too expensive for me. Maybe I'll do steak and eggs. But I think that would get old fast. Maybe it would be cheaper to make sausage but I wouldn't know where to begin. It does sound time consuming and messy!

I just googled homemade sausage recipes and a bazillion of them popped up. I think I'm going to give them a look-see. When I used to do low fat low calorie I made a version of chorizo out of ground turkey. I didn't use casings or anything, just made patties. I can't recall exactly what all went in it, but a lot of herbs and spices. It was a little time consuming though.

If you have access to Applegate Farms products, you may want to check them out. They have no nitrites/nitrates and are pretty limited in ingredients, which is good. I love their chicken and apple sausages, and used to have them regularly. But since we moved, they are too expensive at my "new" grocery store to have any time but a special occasion. They run 1 carb and 50 calories per link (the chicken and apple variety).

@Sandy701: $$$ would be my issue also. That is why I'm thinking maybe making them would be cheaper and I could freeze them. @Cbreeze: please let me know what you find out.
