I am a 30 year old divorced (but recently engaged again!!) mother of 2 children. My oldest child is 7 years old. I guess that rules out the, "Oh, its just left over fat from the baby" excuse. :o)

I am currently loosing weight by eating 1500 calories or less a day as prescribed by my physician. I walk at a pace of 3.2 to 3.8 for 3 miles, 5 days a week. Sometimes I throw an extra day in there and take off a day later in another week. Since right after Christmas I have been pretty faithful to my healthy lifestyle but I feel I should be loosing weight a little bit faster.

I am controlling diabetes through diet and exercise.

I stay out of all the inner grocery store isles (where all the good food is) and stick to unprocessed dairy, meats, and fresh produce on the outside isles of the store. I’m trying to learn how to use more spices… Ohhhh how I want a big, toasted, extra cheesy steak and cheese sandwich…..with a box of glazed donuts for dessert.

I'm so excited for better weather! After spending all winter on a treadmill indoors, my body is finally ready to hit the dirt roads and trails of my West Virginia mountains and spend my 3 miles admiring God's beauty!
