PJ Day at Work... at least I get to be Comfy all day... LOL
I started the Metformin yesterday, and of course everyone at the office is suddenly an expert doctor telling me I need to wait till the weekend to start taking it due to the side effects... Well, day 1 went rather nicely... no side effects other that getting sleepy around 2pm which here lately, happends quite often. Don't ya just love it when people do that to you? Geesh! Makes ya wanna ask them if they slept at a Holiday Inn Express Last Night or What?!?

Wish we had a PJ day! I have been on Metformin for 4 years and have never had any side effects except perfect blood work-course I have always taken it right before bed so maybe I just slept through them :)

I heard taking it before bed helps if you get side effects. I take mine in the morning and I don't get any GI side effects (I take it when I eat) but I do get bouts of dizzy-ness from time to time, especially when I exercise really hard. Kind of scares me but I think it's one of the 'normal' side effects and nothing to worry about.

I was one of those unfortunate ones with serious side effects. I will never ever take it again. I am glad it is working for you - that is great!You will find low carbing will drop your blood sugars very nicely. That and exercise. You can do this!
