I hope everyone's having a fab weekend!
Yesterday I walked in A Walk To End Alzheimer's, went to high school boys soccer game & finished off the day with watching my first marching band competition. Never went to one before, because our school doesn't have football, but we're working on getting one started despite that.
On the way home from the soccer game we found a FREE sofa & love seat!!! The sofa wasn't in bad shape, but the love seat had a broken back & it looked& smelled like their dog had been peeing on the one corner. Anyone have any suggestions? I thought about taking off the effected skirting. I am SO excited about the sofa & chair, because we have only had 2 recliners in our living room for over 2 years!! Very frustrating to only have seating for 2 people & the rest have to sit on the floor. I couldn't even sit next to my hubby. So today I will be cleaning the "new" furniture & the living room! :)

It's nice to happen on those free things!! Take the skirting off, it will give you a whole different look!! Try mixing some white vinegar with some dawn dish soap in a bucket of hot water. use the suds to clean the sofa. The vinegar smell will go away. Add about 2 cups vinegar and around 1/4 cup dawn in a large bucket. I use this all the time to deodorize and disinfect. Works great cleaning your bath too!

Thanks!! Took off skirting & washed them with two of the cushions in the washer with oxiclean & detergent. If that doesn't work we'll purchase covers for both. Hubby opened up the back of the love seat & is trying to fix that. The worst is the smell from their dog peeing on the corners. That's why we never got a male dog. Ewwww! Sprayed everything with All fabric deodorizer. Will try the vinegar version, too.

Oh, with all this cleaning I have been Sooo hungry. Opted for Protein Shake to curb my hunger vs. bad choices.
