After reading all of the comments and suggestions to my last journal entry, I've decided to continue with a keto diet. But I'm going to have to make some changes more slowly so I don't get frustrated and binge. After last night, my fiance has changed his attitude and he's being much more supportive now. I've never had much of a sweet tooth. Soda and sweetened coffee have always been my primary sweets. I've already switched to diet soda, but since I'm struggling with using an artificial sweetener in my coffee (fiance picked up Stevia for me), I'll have to adjust to that one gradually. The only other thing that's a struggle for me atm is milk. I LOVE milk and I'm pretty sure that's one of the main things that lead me to gain weight. lol But most days now I'm limiting myself to half a cup. I don't think we have anywhere here in town that has a scale I can use. But my fiance ordered me some ketone test strips so I can maybe see when I'm in ketosis to know that I'm actually on the right track. Other than that, I'm simply taking weekly measurements of my waist to monitor my progress until we get a bathroom scale (despite his insisting that our uneven/unlevel floors will render it useless). I also found out that my adopted aunt is on a keto diet and she has a keto cook book...so I can get a few recipes from her. :)

Also if you have a way to get online I go to the youtube site ...get on sites about low carb I love keto connect they are very helpful imo…..much success towards your journey to feeling good....:)

Try heavy whipping cream in your coffee, instead of milk. You may even like it without sweetener.
