This app and webpage has been helpful to me in a lot of ways. I did have a suggestion for improving it on the foods consumed: rather than having a format of breakfast-lunch-dinner for the meals, perhaps a system where you can log meals as you take them might be more beneficial. The reason I suggest this is because not everyone follows a three-meal regimen in their daily intakes. Some might eat four (or more) meals per day, while others might eat one or two meals per day. Granted additional meals may be divided among the three-meal format, or may be placed in the snack section; however, adding meals may prove more beneficial for grouping purposes. Just a thought.

I like this site, and using it to log my daily food intake has really taught me a lot about the amount of calories certain foods have. But I thought of something the other day that I would like to see on the site, if it's not on here already and I just haven't figured it out. I would like to see something that can add or subtract calories on certain foods already in the system so that you can get a more accurate reading when you list what you ate. So that you may better understand what I mean, I will use a Big Mac from McDonald's as an example. If you eat a Big Mac the way it's commonly prepared, then you would be taking in 530 calories. But if you make a modification of adding certain items (e.g. extra sauce), or subtracting others (e.g. no cheese, then you have affected the amount of calories you get from eating the sandwich. If you type in "Big Mac" and begin playing with the specs, you can learn how adding or subtracting items can affect the overall calories. Many restaurants are already doing this on their web pages, and by having this feature available on this site, you can more accurately record the amount of calories you take in, and you can make adjustments as needed. As I say, I'm not sure if there is a feature on here that performs this function, but if not, I think it would sure help a lot of us to make better-informed decisions on our intake.

I had a thought a little while ago about this site. It would be great if this site linked to another social media site (e.g. Facebook) would allow your buddies on one site to migrate over to being your buddies on the other. For example, if you're on Facebook and set up an account on Yelp, your Facebook friends that are on Yelp would automatically become your friends on Yelp. I say this because on here we can support and encourage each other for success in our dietary and/or fitness goals, and having these same people as contacts on the other social media site can stimulate continued support and encouragement for those goals we share on here, but also in other areas of our lives too. Just a thought!
