One issue I have in trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle is when I go to other people's homes for parties or other gatherings, and they keep trying to encourage me to eat more than I want. While I do generally partake of the hospitality, I try to exercise self-discipline and limit my portions. Similarly many of them try to be nice by fixing me a plate to take home, but I would rather they didn't do that because I've found they give me entirely too much on the portions, as well as including items I had bypassed in the first place. If they want me to bring food home, I'd rather fix my own plate. I know they mean well, and I don't mean to be rude or ungrateful, but I'd really rather pick and choose my own portions. Have any of you experienced this or anything similar in your own quest to maintain fitness and health?

Today I'm starting something new in my regimen. A friend suggested the Valentus Slim Roast coffee. I tried a sample the other day, and it did help control my appetite, so I went ahead and bought a month's supply. Will check it out and see how it goes.

Today (Thanksgiving Day), I'm pleased to announce I've dropped another three pounds!I still have a long way to go to get to my goal, but every little bit helps! Have a great day, and a Happy Thanksgiving! And by all means, don't ever give up on your goal to live a healthy lifestyle!

Got good news from my doctor's office today that my A1C is down. To me, this is more reason to focus on weight loss.
