Went to the track this a.m. to walk/run then 3 sets of stadiums. Stadiums are getting easier. Next week I'll increase to 4 sets of stadiums. Meeting this a.m. then business lunch at a restaurant that I'm not familiar with. Hopefully the menu will include healthy choices. It's always a challenge!

Well, eating more didn't do the trick as I was up 2 lbs this a.m. I still haven't "officially" weighed in on here because I'm so upset that the scales are showing a gain. I get so frustrated and discouraged with this.I go from thinking that I should eat more to thinking that I should never eat anything ever again. My body wants to hang on to everything even though I exercise 5-6 days a week. I did go to the Y this a.m. & was on the elliptical 45 min. I've said before that I'm not going to give up & I still feel that way but, damn, it is so discouraging. Don't know what the answer is: carbs, no carbs, low carbs, eat more, eat less, cardio, strength training,etc. How am I ever going to figure it out?!

Well, I kept thinking I should be eating more so I guess this past weekend will be the true test! I ate way more than usual due to rehearsal dinner, wedding & day at the lake for Father's Day cookout. I did not really overeat by most standards but it felt a lot to me. This kind of eating is always difficult for me to journal too. I'm back on track today as far as my eating goes but I did not get up & exercise this a.m. I often have trouble getting to sleep on Sunday nights and last night was no exception. Part of it was thinking about how my mom upset me yesterday. She can be mean, rude & often treats me like I'm still 12 years old & yesterday was no exception. I've talked to her about this before but it doesn't seem to really effect her behavior. I think I'll keep my distance from her for awhile.

So, the body fat percentage results were worse than I thought. 43.1%!!! Can't imagine what it would be if I didn't exercise!! The trainer who did the evaluation had given me a free session a couple weeks ago & stated that she would like to give me another free session so we're scheduling something next week. I'll see how that goes and determine if I want to continue with her. What have I got to lose?! (Oh, about 50 lbs.!)

I was really committed to exercise this week, getting up everyday at 5:20am & either hitting the track or the Y. The usual group of Neanderthal Men weren't at the Y this a.m. so I had the weight room at the Y all to myself today. Great way to start the day!
I'm getting my body fat percentage calculated today at the Y so stay tuned.
